The University Grants Commission (UGC) has officially announced the opening of applications for Higher Educational Institutions (HEIs) seeking recognition to offer Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online programmes for the academic year 2026-27.
As per Regulation 3(A) and Regulation 3(B) of the UGC (Open and Distance Learning Programmes and Online Programmes) Regulations, 2020, along with its amendments, eligible institutions can apply for offering courses in ODL and/or online modes. The academic session is scheduled to begin in August 2026.
